About Rachel

Rachel is a storyteller on a mission. A daring and passionate filmmaker, Rachel completed her B.F.A. in Film Production at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.

Rachel's most recent short film, A Marriage, is an award winner at the New York International Women Festival as well as the California Women’s Film Festival, and an official selection of the 2023 Nevada Women’s Film Festival. Her previous short, The Most Beautiful., is a featured project on Film Shortage, won best director at the NYWIFT Online Shorts Festival by iWomanTV, and won several awards globally at festivals including the 2020 Pasadena International Film Festival, the 2020 Nevada Women's Film Festival, Lonely Wolf: International Film Festival London, and many more.

Her goal as a filmmaker is to empower the rise of the feminine in this new era of cinema. In embracing the totality of the feminine experience, she creates ambitious, thought-provoking, authentic, and intimate portrayals of womanhood.

  • "Rachel Irene Wilke's 'The Most Beautiful.' is our grand winner of the entire round, a film that from its electrifying opening shot depicts the most mundane type of horror any human being, particularly a woman, can live through. Flawlessly executed by a woman student director and her team, please do check out this simple yet bigger than life film."

Adrian Perez, Lonely Wolf Film Festival Director

  • "It is beyond rare to find art that truly saves humanity in today’s world. Rachel holds a mirror up to human nature that is flawlessly executed in the most simple and purest form. She is a force to be reckoned with. I am honored to have had the privilege to be a part of her purest creations. I try to seek out other artists in a similar vein as her because there is no one else like her. "

    Madeline Blomdahl, Actress

  • "I have worked with Rachel on numerous projects for over 8 years now and have watched her grown into an auspicious storyteller that I revere. Rachel puts every ounce of her passion into the projects she pursues. She not only takes charge, but she invites the team she forms around her to collaborate."
